Our Story

Theyru is a family small business. Jon and Cassy are parents to a beautiful girl, Nari and a silly french bulldog named Milkdud. They live in the cool, sometimes chilly city Rochester, NY. Jon and Cassy have always had a fascination with the power of words and playing with words. Theyru is a made up contraction of the words ‘they are you.’ The Theyru brand came from thinking about how often people use the word ‘they’ in phrases like, “they have all the power; they will figure it out some day; or they make the rules.” “Well, who are THEY?” is what Jon and Cassy thought. ‘They’ doesn’t have to be some external mysterious entity. They can be you, me, us. Which turned into theyru! Adding the word theyru to known phrases or new phrases adds power to the phrases. It makes common words and phrases more engaging and actionable. Adding theyru to phrases can twist the meaning and encourage people to think differently about things. Ultimately, theyru is about empowering people to be engaged with their lives in positive ways and encourage them to inspire others. Jon and Cassy want to spread these messages worldwide. They lovingly create these products for all to enjoy.
