Our Story
TheyRU began as a small family venture founded by Ethan and Diane Schneider, together with their son Jon and daughter‑in‑law Cassy. Creativity runs deep in the Schneider family, inspired by Ethan’s father, Michael — a witty, prolific writer who taught them to appreciate the power of language and the impact a single phrase can have on how we see the world.
The name “TheyRU” is a made‑up contraction of the words “they are you.” It was born from a simple but powerful question:
Who exactly are “they?"

We hear it all the time: Someday "They will." “They have the power.” “They will figure it out.”
But “they” is often treated like some distant, mysterious force outside of ourselves. At Theyru, we believe something different.
